How to Play

Goal: Find 3 hidden 5-letter words that share a category in 6 guesses or less.

Making Guesses:

Each guess must be a valid 5-letter word
Every guess reveals feedback for all 3 hidden words at once

3-Dot Feedback System:

Each letter shows 3 colored dots (one per hidden word):

🟩 Green: Letter is correct and in the right position
🟨 Yellow: Letter is in the word but wrong position
⬛ Gray: Letter is not in that word

Helpful Clues:

Category reveals: One letter reveals per guess to help you identify the theme
Partial reveals: Correctly placed letters (green dots) appear in the word slots at the top
Smart keyboard: Letters not in any remaining words become disabled

Win by revealing all 3 words before running out of guesses!

What Data We Collect

Category Connect collects minimal data to provide game statistics:

Game Progress: Your current game state (guesses, words found) saved locally in your browser
Game Results: Your daily game outcome (win/loss), number of guesses, and words found
Anonymous Session ID: A random identifier stored in your browser to prevent duplicate submissions

Why We Collect It

Game Progress: To save your progress so you can continue playing later
Stats Comparison: To show you how your performance compares to other players

What We Don't Collect

We do NOT collect:

Personal information (names, emails, addresses)
Analytics or tracking data
Your individual guesses or gameplay patterns

Data Storage

Game progress and results are stored locally in your browser. Stats are stored securely in Firebase Firestore. You can clear your local data at any time by declining cookie consent.

Your Rights

You can opt out of data collection at any time through Privacy Settings. Note that opting out will disable both game progress saving and stats comparison features.
